Salatul Jumuah begins at 1:30pm year round and ends around 2:05 pm. Be early to attend the complete prayer service. 
Masjid is also open for five daily Salah. Please check the times posted on the front gate.

Events
1/29/2012: A Nikkah ceremony for John and Nadia was held after Duhr Salah. May Allah T'ala bless their marriage.

Scheduled (Insha'Allah)
2/7/2012: A Nikkah ceremony for Carlos and Yulia will be held after Duhr Salah at 1:00pm. Everyone is invited to attend this joyous occasion.

2/14/2012: Guest lecture on "Islam and Humanity" by Dr. Zahid at Trident Tech.

2/15/2012: Guest lecture on "Islam and Humanity" by Dr. Zahid at Trident Tech.

2/17/2012: Imam Taufiq Mehdi from ICNA Relief USA will be our guest Imam for Salatul Jumuah. He will also give a lecture on Friday night after Salatul Isha at 7:30pm. Everyone is invited and asked to come out, welcome the Imam and listen his lecture.

Salatul Jumuah is held at 1:30pm year-round. It ususally completes by 2:05pm. Overflow parking is available under the bridge on Romney Street.

Five daily prayers are held at the Masjid.

Feb. 2012 Schedule

Fajr:  6:15 am

Duhr: 12:45 pm (Sunday only at 1:30pm)

Asr:   4:00 pm

Maghrib: On time

Isha:   7:30pm

Muslims in South Carolina: Dated March 3, 1753:

Muslims from North Africa, appear in the records of South Carolina. In the South Carolina Council Journal, No. 21, Pt. 1, pp. 298-299. Two men by the name Abel Conder and Mahamut (Mahomet) petitioned the South Carolina royal authorities in Arabic for their freedom.

Today, The Central Mosque of Charleston, situated at 1082 King Street, downtown Charleston, is a house of worship of God for people with ethnic backgrounds of about thirty different nationalities, including blacks, whites, Arabs and non-Arabs. It is open to every Muslim regardless of race, language or ethnicity.

PRAYERS (SALAH) / Worship Services
The Mosque is open for five daily prayers. The weekly religious service, “The Jumuah Prayer”, is held at 1:30pm on Fridays. The CMC also provides wedding and funeral services to Muslims.

The Central Mosque welcomes visitors to attend our Open Houses and observe our services. Please visit our website, www.CharlestonMuslims.com, for Open House schedule or call the Mosque at 843-720-8614 to arrange for a personal or group visit. Schools are also invited to schedule visits.

Islam – The Straight Path
With over 1 .5 billion Muslims, Islam is the second largest religion of the world. There are about six million Muslims in the U.S.A. Islam is a universal religion for the entire mankind. It is based on the belief and worship of One and Only One God of all. Islam is the Straight Path as given by the Messengers of God, which include Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. Peace be on all.
