Assalamalaikum ,
I hope you are doing well and staying healthy with grace of Almighty Allah (SWT). It is our pleasure to announce that the Shura Council of CMC has declared to open the CMC for full scale Ramadan activities (5 times prayer, Iftars, and Community Iftars) this year InshaAllah.
We are the Iftar and Ramadan Management Committee and will be overseeing and organizing these events during the whole month of Ramadan. The following program has been approved by Shura Council and we will execute accordingly, InshaAllah.
Monday to Thursday (Every Week): Iftar and dinner will be provided in the Masjid for bachelors, travelers, and guests visiting Charleston. We are requesting our community members to pick one of these days and bring the food for 40 people to the Masjid 30 mins prior to Iftar. Please sign up the sheet electronically or in person in the Masjid. If you cannot provide food, you can sponsor one day for $400. This money will be used to purchase the food.
Saturday (Every Week): Iftar and dinner will be provided by community members and the Iftar committee will coordinate this event and assign people:
- Saturday March 25, 2023: Mediterranean Food (All Arabs)
- Saturday April 1, 2023: Sudanese Food
- Saturday April 8, 2023: Indian/Pakistani Food
- Saturday April 15, 2023: Moroccan Food
Friday and Sunday (Every Week): Open for community members. If you like to choose, you can pick one of the Fridays or Sundays and provide Iftar and Dinner in the Masjid for 150 people on Friday (or $1,200 sponsorship) and for 75 people on Sunday (or $600 sponsorship). You can also sign up on the sign up sheets in the masjid or there will be an electronic sign up.

Tarawih (Every day): TBD
Security (Every day): We will have a police officer at the Masjid every night from 8pm-11 pm.
Children Monitoring (Every Saturday): We will have two babysitters on each Saturday to monitor small children, CMC will provide this service.
Mask Requirement (Every day): Mask wearing is optional and CMC Shura Council strongly encourages community members to wear masks, however, it is not mandatory.
Volunteers for Cleaning (Every day): We ask community members to support your Masjid and its program by your time and services so please help us to keep our Masjid clean. We always need your help.
